hahahaha. yeah already. so sad you can't be in one of our youth's biggest projects ever!! rah.
but i must say you played a HUGE part in the process. no worries, will try to email the stuff to you. already video-ed 2 run-thrus today! haha. hoho i will be awaiting great stories when you come back. and you can anticipate mine too! (tho surely less interesting than yours ;P)

it was SO NICE to see everyone again and SING with them.. tho i couldn't really empathise with the people who were complaining that they had 'bass surround sound' cos mine was mostly 'tenor surround sound' instead. haha.
and i suppose it SHOULD be an honour to always be called upon and made to stand in the 1st row but arghhhhhh. come on... i think i'd rather stand in other rows laa. plus my voice wasn't that fantastic lo. puis. screwed up the descant for noel. but think all the others esp the alumni sop1s were so ZAI they just totally covered up for me hahaha.
in short. i really really enjoyed myself carolling with choir. ahh. carolling w em rocks la. we may not always be fantastic but i really do enjoy singing with u guys!!!! yayy. :) happiness.

went MAD shopping w dee n ma in town.
*on a side note. listening to the cd burned by dot n i can't believe she composed a song on mosquitoes!!! hahahha. super funny. but quite cool la. and i must say e song i recorded w sam turned out quite nice! tho i didn't think so when we were singing it hahahha. :)
shopped and shopped and shopped to our max for those erm. 3 or 4 hours i think. poor mummy was quite bored whenever dee n i got stuck in a shop for too long haha.
got my first pmk tee!! acc both dee n i got our first pmk tees. for each other. hahahha!
and the packaging is SO NICE... a milk carton!!!! yayy.
then all 3 of us got nice heels for e rehab dinner too. haha. dee went ard proclaiming that mine was the most ex.. -_-" i know......
oh wells. fun, tiring but overall very efficient i think. haha. cos think we were shopping under pressure :P haha..
and i seriously din realise that guys' tees are so HUGE.... i mean i was just measuring one and i think i seriously could have worn it was a dress. right...
ah wells.

to my shock n amazement. so in the end we sang 'Jesus, Lover of my soul' to a very very cute carrie-ann in her baby chair haha.. :)
and in the true spirit of 'passing it on' dot n i sabo-ed grandpa haha!
but he definitely did a much better job of singing than we did ( i think. no offence dot!!)
but he really sang very well! think that'll b his signature song liao haha..
food was not bad la. but think almost all of us went for supper after that hahaha..

i'm quite sensitive to smells. some weird kinda smells i actually like, like the staircase in liang court. (unless it's changed) hmm. n smells that remind me of my childhood. and i'm extremely sensitive to durian. this one's different. this one is: sniff and RUN! haha.

i LOVE cartoons. of course not all, and some may laugh at me for watching so much cartoons even tho i'm 'supposed' to be past that stage but aiyar. cartoons are quite nice wad. but of course i dun like ALL. chip n dale! fairly oddparents! deedee n dexter! haha and some others. but i switch to nickelodean, disney channel n cartoon network quite regularly. hahaha.

i can read certain books over and over again n not be bored. of course i mean proper books, not archie comics. ohh tho manga is an exception. think i've read 'the naughtiest girl' a thousand times or sth. hahahha. and i still love it! it's one of the few books from my childhood still lying around.. :)

had my hair cut last night!

it's practically identical to QB! are they one and the same?
so there the lady was snipping my hair off and thinning it.. (i feel so much happier now that my hair's lighter! hahaha.)
and dee mouthed to me in the mirror: u look like me now!

ohh btw it was the first time i had my hair cut when i was wearing contacts. and i must say it's far better than wearing specs cos then i can see everything that's going on! when i wore specs i was always blind. and BORED. at least w contacts i could observe the hairstylist.
so then i sniggered and told the hair stylist 'wo de mei mei shuo wo xian zai de fa xing hen xiang ta de'
alright la. mebbe those weren't my exact words cos i think i forgot what hairstyle was in chinese. haha.
then the lady went 'oh, yeah man xiang de. ni men shi shuang bao tai ma?'
WAHHHH. shuang bao tai leh. SHUANG BAO TAI leh. i think i just died on the spot there. do we honestly look that alike?!?! neither of us thinks so! neither do our parents! haha.
then it was dee's turn to cut her hair. and the other lady asked her what style she wanted. quickly she said 'bu xiang ta (me) jiu ke yi le'

guess i'll try and style my hair so it doesn't look like hers LO... hahaha.

after all those chalets where sleeping is hardly a possibility and camps.. it's gooood to settle in for the long night (and morning) haha..
wanna blog abt prom! but. haven't managed to upload e photos into my com yet so later yeahh.. for now we'll just hafta settle for the JUNGLE ADVENTURE!!
yeah. children's church camp!

ok la i missed the first 2 days cos i was busy preparing for prom on the first and the 2nd, duh, was prom. haha.
came back fr prom and slept like only 4 plus 5 hours and then it was off to sembawang park. or rather, the place near sembawang park.
'terror sea scout camp'
ohh. how apt indeed. terror mainly from the mosquitoes tho. every single person there was adorned with a cute round sticker that was either blue or yellow and various parts of their clothes.. to keep the mosquitoes away!
yeah. and poor kids. i got there on the 3rd day and some of them had so many bites! and not only on the hands and feet, but on their faces and ears too!!!!! arghhh. poor them. and of course the 'aunties' and helpers didn't REALLY escape too. just that the kids got the brunt of the mosquito attacks.
wasn't a leader.. so i was a mere helper.. but it was quite fun too! thoroughly enjoyed myself doing actions and jumping around for all the kiddy songs.. and everyone, i mean absolutely everyone even all the youth were jumping ard too! yayy. so fun. now why doesn't that happen during the sessions in church?? :P
there was quite abit of free time, and new stuff introduced during the camp! like 'canteen time' which dee loved cos that was when all the snacks and stuff were laid out like a mama shop and everyone got to buy what they wanted! as long as they were able to, of course. and canteen time on the last day was the best. i imagine the kids all went bonkers. cos everything was free! whoa. mad rush.
the helpers also got to design their own shirts! like how cool is that. so i got there to see all the youth's shirts neatly laid out on the tables, each with a different design and promptly got down to making my own! i say. fabric paint rocks! haha. and after all that fuss abt getting an xs tee and jon shaking his head and tsktsk-ing when he saw the size of my shirt, i realised that it actually fits me quite well! hoho.
i think all the kids enjoyed the camp.. and i did too! despite the horribly gross toilets which we all tried to avoid as much as possible, daring mosquitoes and creaky stairs, i think we all had fun yeah? haha. got to know more kids, and some abit better.. and also the youth themselves! haha. oh yes. i've gotta say i'm very proud of my elf! hoho. now i really sound like santa eh.
my dear elf has managed to go through 4 days and 3 nights of rowdy, boisterous kids who sometimes wun leave him alone (rem the train and ur obnoxious nut!) hahah. and i must say he did a great job! and as i can see from the kids' responses to him (hoho, gorgor!!) they look up to him too! yay. tho i must say it was really interesting seeing the elf get pissed. cos i've never witnessed such an occurrence before. haha. do continue to expand your extensive range of vocabulary so u can wield it as a weapon against future obnoxious nuts k! HAHAHA. :P
though i think we should all keep our cool as much as possible and tolerate em cos hmm well. sometimes kids just want attention yeah.. :P
was duly impressed by the guest speakers.. they were fantastic! no need for teaching materials at all while teaching and they held the kids' attention so well! even i was enthralled by their stories. and they apply stuff in the bible to real life so well too. think although it was a kids' camp, i learnt alot too! :)
was really glad for the youth who were helping out there.. i really enjoyed all their company! esp since most of the time we only see each other once a week.. and even then we're busy helping out in what else, children's church! haha. am very much appreciative of the time spent in camp. :D can't wait for our photos to come out!!!!! :) :) :)
meanwhile.. let's all jiayou for JOYFUL JOYFUL!!
esp the singers cos now we've got a severe lack of angelic voices cos everyone's doing sth else! blahs. band must jiayou with the chords! the chords. are. disgusting. i think i cmi. will go practise very very hard!! haha. and the dancers who've been faithfully practising every week! with God's grace, i think we'll make it. haha. can't wait! all the way! haha.

ok here i am back from 3 chalets...
last wk had choir n class chalets on the exact same dates and at the exact same place, no less..
i thought they were both at pasir ris but diff chalets.. turned out they were both at the same place!
how interesting.
so i spent half the time w class.. then walked over to the next block with my stuff n joined choir.
haha time with class was quite fun! reached there at about 7 plus am..
saw a group of them looking rather stoned playing cards outside the chalet.. haha..
chatted awhile, took photos then went for macs breakfast!!
yayy hotcakes rule i tell you. yumm yumm yumm. :P
went back.. and my nice classmates quickly got me aquainted with this black flat thingy that people play games on literally non-stop, aka the xbox.

yeahh.. i mean for a person like me who doesn't play games on the xbox.. this was quite a feat lo. was playing some kungfu game with 5 others.. whoa. and my fingers actually got tired from franctically pressing the x and y keys madly. i mean, i didn't even know what i was doing! how dumb. this was how i intepreted it.
for most games, u just keep on pressing the x or y keys, or both to whack the everyone else other than you as much as you can. when u see ur opponent on the ground, you press some back button and u get to 'taunt' him/her and then u accumulate stars! when u get 3 stars u get to blast everyone with some special power that only comes out when u have 3 stars. haha.
ah wells. i didn't actually get the hang of it cos i was always one of the first few to die. like seriously. haha. can't blame me la, i mean the last time i played this was erm. lower sec i think. bomberman!! at mo's house. hahahhaha.
then we went for lunch which i didn't eat.. and went cycling!!!!!!!
alright. one of the biggest highlights of chalet. i love cycling! :D
zoomed from one end of the park to the other.. and stopped awhile at the end with the 'spiderweb' thingy. didn't climb it though, there's no way i can even get myself up that thing. all i do is bounce around at the bottom and annoy the people making their way to the top. haha.
so a few of us went to the swings instead.. whooaa i love swings i tell you. so fun!! then met the choir pple cos they were cycling too! songs came to give me a few BIG pushes on the swing.. wahh i went super high i tell you. scariness. haha.
saw lip mich n i think wang teaching kane how to cycle.. which he eventually did! congrats! :)
then went back to join the class.. and cycled back! on the way back daryl me n rach spotted this guy who fell frm his back.. wahhh a long stream of blood flowing down his arm la. think he was P6 or sth. and his dodobird friends who passed didn't even stop for him! tsktsktsk. so helped him abit, cleaned away some blood (hoho shee n nana wud b proud of me eh) then we left him to rest there while we cycled on.
then suddenly there was huge winds and it started drizzling! and the winds here STRONG i tell you. in jy's words, she felt as if a tsunami was coming. haha ok la perhaps tt was a bit exaggerated, but u get my point.
and honestly i could feel the wind propelling my bike k! wahh. pedaled furiously back to the bike shop. where i met the choir pple again. haha. then walked back in the rain! yeahh.. got raisin bread and watched alwyn teach jy how to play fifa.. whoo how we cheered when jy got her first goal in the match! yayyy. :D
then washed up and went to join choir!
typical of us choir pple.. they were singing when i arrived. haha. sang a few songs.. acc it was rather squashed cos we only had one rm and there were abt erm. abt 20 of us? yeahh.. watched the sea games n cheered the gymnasts and swimmers on while we had pizza! think we were making a racket man, yelling at the top of our lungs. haha.
then mich youzi et lip jon fel n i went to the arcade after we realised the price of bowling there was $4 per game.. wah. no way man. played daytona! haha it was quite fun watching 6 of em race one another and scream/shout one other's names when they got hit by another's car. realised that once u get pushed behind at the start of the race, u'll most deifinitely end up behind lo. try as i might, i just couldn't catch up! puis. hahaha.
then we played some bball thing where we had to shoot balls into this hoop that moved with high stages and kane joined us. wah. after one round my legs were aching. cos i was tiptoeing throughout!! but mich and i got quite a gd score (or so we thought). fel n youzi too! watched the guys pair up and play and cheer em on! haha they got double our scores lo.. guys are guys la. :P but it was really qt fascinating watching the balls swish into the hoops with such accuracy! (until LDMR started setting in la)
after that practically all of us in chalet went walking in the park.. hoping to find the beach but to no avail. youzi n i wud have loved to go to the spiderweb end but it was too far. blahs. so we settled for some pavilion and later the steps of this other toilet stop thingy. later a smaller grp of us sat around and talked outside the chalet.. until like 6 plus? i think. then went in to grab some sleep.. but i couldn't! blah. forgot to bring jacket and had no sleeping bag so tried using my bag as a pillow and lying on the floor. but after awhile it got too cold and erm. some other pple deep in sleep kept me from sleeping. so i sat up. n xian cudn't slp too! haha. after they left i got a pillow and kayi gave me her jacket.. so i tried hugging the pillow n sleeping. rah. i think i can't sleep sitting up without leaning on anything. then xuan awoke too n she also cudn't slp! so gave her e pillow and went to lean against the wall. and i still couldn't sleep! so decided to just close my eyes n rest. then quite awhile later someone woke me up. hoho. et who had awakened and was offering a spot on the bed. and of course i took it. hahaha. couldn't exactly sleep but at least i had somewhere to lie on. phew. haha. then at abt 9 plus we all woke up and packed and left the chalet.. and i went home n entered slumberland.
on mon we had choir chalet! this one the J1s organised as a farewell for us seniors. the final farewell. hmms.
last min kayi said wear long pants but i was alr out.. so no go. went out w dee earlier to get last min prom stuff! wah after walking for the whole afternoon i was quite sick of all the nonsense already. went to bugis and met quan n dot! had bk for lunch... and looked at more prom stuff. specifically, make up. haha. must give quan credit for following us all around the place and actually giving his opinions on colours! wahaha. *applause* so now i've got everything except stuff on my hair. have decided that i won't actually do anything with it, just prob a 'more-side-parting' haha. no hair glitter tho. ah wells. and diy make up turned out not bad! yayy i can do it. hahaha. :P hais. all the fuss abt ONE night. tsktsk. good thing such things dun happen often.
reached tampines late and a whole grp of them was alr sitting there! horrors. ok but i wasn't the latest. and we dragged for like dunno how long cos ppl went to get stuff.. go toilet etc. but no worries! i was qt ok w sitting there w all my choirmates. haha.
our chalet turned out to be super ulu place that i've never been to before.. and as forewarned, it really did have LOADS of mosquitoes. i thought i managed to get through unscathed, only to get attacked when we were all sitting around the next morning playing taboo! blah.
sua really amused me when we arrived and started checking out all the rms and he discovered we actually have 4 toilets instead of 1! to think they arrived earlier and still didn't discover the 3 other toilets. and they were actually 'rationing' toilet paper. haha!
had abit of beehoon, satay n hotdog for bbq.. didn't really feel like eating much. sat around n talked and had fun laughing w e gals about whether we were amazing, beautiful, charming, elegant or even fantastic... HAHHAHA. ohmyword. sang songs.. then juniors had some game where we had to go up in pairs to answer qns and see which section could reach a million dollars first! alright la. poor basses only had 4 pple so they were alternating like crazy! tho i wonder where the juniors went. haha.
then mslim came! yayy. haven't seen her in ages. she got the seniors to perform for the juniors and vice versa.. and i think we really had a great time singing with one another. the minute we got 'on stage', we were there. it's just us. hais. no words can express it la. it's just different singing with my batch. and as charm said, we haven't lost the feeling of singing w each other yet.. :) sang pasigin, dahil, burung n suite.. i would have loved to sing more cos it was so enjoyable, but we had to stop la. juniors plus ip students sang ye lai xiang! nice. tho the solo part was a bit weird. just lalala? and it was super short. haha. then all of us did binnamma! it was super funny cos since there were no tiers, the sops knelt, the tenors sorta bent and so did the altos! imagine us kneeling and trying to stomp. so in the end we gave up and stood. haha. basses had to jump and do their kumbina thing! whooa it was super funny. reminded me of starfish, for some funny reason. haha.
then juniors sang songs for me and we joined in.. tho quite a few of the songs i didn't know how to sing.. haha. then seniors just sat around and sang.. nice. one by one people went off, or did other things.. so it was just a few of us talking.. and guess what. i didn't sleep again! just that this time i was FULLY awake throughout. didn't feel tired! interestingly. started feeling hungry abt 5 plus so youzi n i had peanut butter sandwiches. and kenneth gw n adora cooked up a storm making omelettes for us! and they were yummy! :) so breakfast was at 5 plus. hahaha.
afterwards ching mich youzi n i went to watch the sunrise.. tho in the end we only saw the sky brightening in various hues of colours.. but it was beautiful all the same. and inwardly i couldn't help marvelling at God's creation.. the sky was like a canvas.. the clouds didn't look like fluffy cotton wool, they appeared to be abstract drawings.. and the water lapping at the beach looked like glass as they reflected the sun rays.. wah. i was so amazed at the beauty of it all. met et at the beach and he taught us how to skip stones! and after many many failed attempts i managed to do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wahhhh i was so happy i tell you. tho after that not all my stones skip but at least now i sorta know how to do it! there's the trot. which is optional. and then the bending low, which is compulsory. and the stone most definitely has to be as flat as possible! so in the end under et's patient guidance we all managed to skip at least one stone! yeah! hhaha.
went back and played taboo w shao sua et charm fel youzi lip kane dateo kayi wq ching qiqian.. i think that's all tho wj contributed to, haha rem kane's dablio qns where all of us were stumped except when wj n wx yelled amazon! hahahaha. that was funny. super exciting la.. esp when u were the one giving the clues. adrenaline rush! :D and i got whacked by mosquitoes. eventually resorted to covering my legs with my jacket. left at abt 11.. and met evan n emme n aunty jennifer at tampines mrt! going to watch chicken little. i must say they're really enjoying their hols! :) so cute la.. the 2 little girls. :) then watched sleeping beauty while eating lunch. and promptly fell asleep on the sofa. haha.
anw. i just watched grandpa's video of us during combined concert w cat high n aj in 2001! oh boy i was so amused at the super high pitched voices. think cos of the mode of recording or sth.. everything went a few pitches higher! as a result the sops n altos all sound rather like chipmunks. haha. watched gabriel singing solo for one of the carols. and saw clement! to think we were all only sec2 then. and i looked horrendous. haha. as stiff as a tree trunk. and i couldn't spot fel anywhere throughout the entire concert! how weird. i think i may have spotted lippy but wasn't sure cos it was very clear. and grandpa totally zoomed in on me when sn was performing la! BLAH. gross. but on the whole it was rather nice taking a trip down memory lane.. haha.. think we've come a long way since then man. tho ho tarikoi was fantastic! yeahh. :)
and i think due to the consecutive chalets, not sleeping and eating quite abit of junk food.. my throat is dying now. can feel a horrible sore throat coming!!!!!!!! yucks. how awful if tmr at prom i go croaking to pple. haha. alrights. everyone going for prom slp early tonight!!!!!!!! :)
